Node JS Express

  • Own directory structure grouping middlewares, filters, controllers, services, etc by functionality instead of by file type. We get developers to have their IDE more organized in this way.
  • Use of ESLint and Prettier in all our projects.
  • We promote the use of Middleware and its subsequent reuse to reduce the amount of duplicate code and have a separation that also helps us avoid “spaghetti code”.
  • Use of Yarn, versioned the .lock so that all developers work with the same package version.
  • All projects have a .nvmrc file with the node version that must be used in addition to being restricted in the package.json
  • We define all session strategies with Passport, whether it is a known strategy or a custom strategy.
  • Whenever possible and makes sense, we make NPM modules to, for example, wrap a third-party api, etc.
  • All our projects get an endpoint / ping that returns us if the system is down, up and the status of the subservices.
  • Use of PM2 to orchestrate Node processes, taking advantage of the server characteristics, allows unifying Crons with processes and manages logs / errors.

Symfony

  • Use of a folder structure extended to Symfony to improve organization and learning curve.
  • Use of SOLID principles in application development. In addition, the use of YAGNI, DRY and KISS is promoted.
  • We use the bundles necessary for each application, making a previous analysis of the use that will be given to each one. This allows us to tailor the solution to the client to avoid introducing complexity where it is not necessary.
  • Use of FosRestBundle and LexikJWTAuthenticationBundle to standardize generated REST APIs.
  • LexikJWTAuthenticationBundle allows you to adopt the use of JWT for the generation of stateless REST APIs that allow the front to connect with the API.
  • Adaptation to PHP coding standards (PHP Standards Recommendations) such as: PSR-4, PSR-12, ...
  • En el caso de detectar durante el análisis, que el proyecto está compuesto por distintos componentes que podamos separar en subproyectos, nos decantamos por implementar Domain Driven Design. Para ello, nos basaremos también en distintos patrones como:
    • CQRS.
    • Event-driven system.
    • TDD o BDD.
    • etc

Vue

  • Use of CSS framework / library to unify style guides in applications, such as Vuetify to TailwindCSS, according to the needs of the project.
  • Use of "slots" to improve the structure of our components and facilitate their understanding.
  • Use of Vuex to manage a centralized data store in our applications.
  • We promote the reusability of components in our projects.
  • Use of Nuxt for the development of SSR platforms.
  • Use of Yarn, versioned the .lock so that all developers work with the same package version.

Infraestructures/Systems/ Intern Development

  • Using Ansible to provision the infrastructure required to set up a project environment.
  • Multi-environment, we work with a development environment (local in docker), staging, quality and production.
  • Automatic deployments, with a hook in the repository we "jump" to a jenkins that is responsible for deploying the project in its remote environment. Depending on the branch and the nature of the project, it will do different actions
  • Use of tags in the repository every time a new version is released.
  • Project monitoring and documentation in a Youtrack system, depending on the nature and phase of the project, Agile methodologies are used: Scrum or Kanban.
